Manipur schools directed to submit details of fees charged

The Education (S) department has directed all the private schools and others which are charging fees to furnish a detailed statement to the Education-Schools department.

A circular issued by commissioner (Education-Schools), T Ranjit has directed the schools to provide the information as per a format which includes number of students, number of teaching and non-teaching staffs, various fees, salary of teachers, among other things.

The circular comes in the wake of schools remaining closed from mid-March to ensure reduction of mass gatherings and to avoid spread of COVID-19 as a precautionary measure. The circular further added that opening of schools will be done after taking appropriate decision by government in consultation with health department and keenly following the scenario of the country elsewhere.

All school authorities should submit the desire information to education-schools department email id: trsingh13@yahoo.co.in and kirankumar_thokchom@yahoo.co.in or to their respective ZEO (in hard copies) without fail latest by May 30, it said. There should not by any misleading/concealment of information, it stated. The circular warned that non submission of the information will be viewed seriously, it added.
