Two Shramik Special trains with 2,893 passengers from Bangalore, Delhi arrive in Jiribam

Shramik special train which left Banglaore with 1,660 passengers on May 23 arrived at Jiribam railway station at around 9:50 pm on Tuesday. It was the fourteenth train reaching Jiribam after evacuation of state natives began.

Shramik special train which left Banglaore with 1,660 passengers on May 23 arrived at Jiribam railway station at around 9:50 pm on Tuesday. It was the fourteenth train reaching Jiribam after evacuation of state natives began.

Most of the returnees left Jiribam for their respective districts yesterday after due formalities were processed. However, some of them had to leave this morning at around 9 am. The train which brought state natives from Bangalore left Jiribam railway station at 10:40 am.

Another train which left Delhi with 1,233 passengers on May 25 arrived at Jiribam railway station at around 2:20 pm today. It was the fifteenth train reaching the state.

Meals were served to the returnees in the train. They were then allowed to disembark from the train in a district-wise manner to board buses for their respective districts after screening and other formalities were completed.

Meanwhile, curfew was imposed in the district from 7 am today till 6 am tomorrow, keeping in view of special trains with state natives arriving at Jiribam.
