100 PPEs distributed to Imphal West police

Mother's Care Children Hospital and Research Centre and Imphal Heart Hospital, Sagolband on Tuesday handed over 100 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the SP of Imphal West police K Meghachandra.

Mother's Care Children Hospital and Research Centre and Imphal Heart Hospital, Sagolband Moirangleirak, Imphal on Tuesday handed over 100 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) certified by OFB, Ministry of Defence to the SP of Imphal West police K Meghachandra.

The PPEs were handed over to the SP Meghachandra by the managing director Dr Kh Ratan at the recreation hall of the Imphal West district police. 

A release signed by Imphal west SP stated that consultant doctor Sonamani, medical director of the institute, Dr Asit Deb and other staff of the institute along with other officers of the district police attended the programme.  

A demonstration on the use of PPE, wearing, removal and disposal were demonstrated by the team from the hospital and institute. The managing director gave an overview of the pandemic and briefed the police officers on the need for the structural training for the use of PPE, the realease added.

Dr Sonamani briefed on the symptoms and preventive measures and Dr Asit Deb Nath and his team gave a demonstration on the proper way of using PPE. 

The Imphal West SP expressed gratitude and thanked Dr Ratan and his team for the kind assistance and the valuable deliberations on COVID-19 and the much needed demonstration on the proper use of PPE.

"The district police Imphal West feels deeply indebted and look forward to providing assistance and cooperation in the future," the SP said.
