Briefing the media persons, president of Jiribam District VDF Welfare Association, O Bishembor Singh said that the VDF personnel in the reserve line have been facing hardship as the barrack is in a poor condition.

The authority concerned has not taken care of the place for a long period of time. There is water leakage from the roof of the barrack, including kitchen, he added.

He continued that officials from Manipur Police Housing Corporation had checked the place last year along with SP of Jiribam, Mubi, however no construction work or renovation has been taken up till date, Bishembor said while urging state government to look into the matter.
