The Manipur Shiv Sena will submit a survey report on the present political situation in the state to the central government in the next few days, said its state party president M Tombi on Wednesday.
Tombi said in a voice note to the media the state government needs to give priority to the safety of its people from COVID-19 apart from other issues. He said that political parties are playing various strategy to gain political mileage by neglecting the present COVID-19 issues.
The state Sena president appealed to all the state legislators to cooperate with each other in the fight against COVID-19. He said that with the impact of lockdown, various section of the people, including daily wage workers, are suffering. The government needs to find necessary preventive measures against unwanted incidents, he added.
Number of positive cases, containment zones and infection rate have been increasing in the state and the government needs to monitor to prevent the increasing rate, Tombi said.
Appealing to the state leaders to discuss the COVID issues ahead of the coming Manipur legislative assembly session to be conducted on August 10, Tombi said that those who are interfering and trying to divert the COVID issue should stop immediately.
Without cooperation among the people, it will be hard to tackle the COVID-19 issues in the state, the state Sena leader added.
