A Toy Train Platform at Manipur Science Centre was inaugurated by Science and Technology commissioner M Joy Singh in the presence of director, directorate of Science and Technology, E Ibocha Singh on Friday.
The Toy Train was inaugurated last year by deputy chief minister Y Joykumar without the platform at the Manipur Science Centre. The train was gifted by the Ministry of Railway in 2019-2020.
The ianuguration of the toy train platform was held as a part of the Van Mahotsav ceremeony held at Takyelpat on Friday.
Directorate of Science and Technology (DST), Manipur and Manipur Science and Science and Technology Council (MASTEC) observed the Van Mahotsav ceremony by planting tree saplings at the DST Complex.
The programme was organised to promote the essence of tree plantation to save the environment and global warming.
About 200 saplings which were supplied by the forest department were planted in the complex. The programme was also attended by director, MASTEC, L Dinachandra Singh and other officials of DST and MASTEC.
