After an employee of a private diagnostic lab in Churachandpur tested COVID-19 positive on Wednesday, those people who had visited the lab have been asked to report to the government and to comply with certain conditions in order to prevent spread of COVID-19 in the community.
According to a public notification issued by chief medical officer, Churachandpur, Dr Vumchinpau Tonsing, individuals who had visited the Advance Diagnostics, IB Road, near ZEO Western Gate, Lamka, Churachandpur between July 11 and July 20 should report their detailed information (Name, Sex, Age, Address, Date of visit, contact number).
It said that the information should be submitted either by WhatsApp or SMS to CMO Office 8732012693 and 8413853322 and DC Office 8974452664. It also directed the visitors to maintain strict home quarantine until they are tested and result is known. The date and place of testing shall be intimated by concerned SDO/BDO or District Administration, it said.
Meanwhile, chief medical officer, Bishnupur, Dr L Gojendra, in a press statement, said that the said employee from Kumbi Thingel Leikai has been transferred to a Covid Care Centre.
"All his family members and contacts are being traced both at Kumbi and Thinungei, where the latter is the resident of his married sister," the statement said.
They will be tested for COVID-19. In the meantime, the families have been advised strict home quarantine, it added.
