Topper Satmunchon Kipgen beat all odds to follow his dreams
Satmunchon Kipgen, the 11th position holder of the HSLC examination 2020, was felicitated by the Thadou Youth Association, Joint Headquarter Sadar Hills and Henry Henkholen Haokip, executive engineer, and Water Resource department on Wednesday.
Creating history with his success story as the 11th position holder of the HSLC examination 2020, a student of a government school in Kangpokpi, Satmunchon Kipgen has become an inspiration to everyone in the district, from young to old, men and women.
Coming from a poor family, Satmunchon overcame poverty and fought all odds to follow his dreams and bagged 11th position in the state's HSLC examination 2020. He is the first student from a government school in Sadar Hills to hold a position in the state's HSLC examination.
Lauding his admirable achievement, Satmunchon Kipgen, was felicitated by the Thadou Youth Association, Joint Headquarter Sadar Hills and Henry Henkholen Haokip, executive engineer, and the Water Resource department. He was felicitated at his residence at S Jalenmoul.
Henry Henkholen Haokip lauded the boy for giving his best despite all the hurdles he faced during his struggles, setting an example to be an inspiration in the society while proving that no financial crisis and hardship could prevent him from attaining his goal.
The Water Resource department executive engineer also appreciated the parents of Satmunchon Kipgen and motivated them to keep supporting the child who has begun pursuing his further studies at Meci Explorer Academy, Imphal, in attaining his dream. He assured support to the boy and his parents in the future.
The family members of the executive engineer also took their time in expressing their happiness and motivated the child while the father of Haokhosei Haokip handed Satmunchon and his family financial help to help him in his further studies.
Meanwhile, TYA secretary general Manghekam Kipgen also appreciated Satmunchon Kipgen for his overwhelming struggles and success. He expressed the hope of the association that he will become a successful youth among the Thadou community in the future.
He also felicitated him with a Thadou-Kuki Songmantam Dictionary handed over by Henminlen Hangshing, president TYA joint headquarters SH, which is a very important tool for a student to become a self sufficient learner as he continues learning and improving as a student.
The Thadou Youth Association, joint headquarters, Sadar Hills further expressed their gratitude to principal cum administrator Ngamkhohao Haokip and all the staff of Eklavya Model Residential School, Gamnom Saparmeina for their endeavour in producing a topper from a government school which is the first of its kind from Sadar Hills while terming EMRS Gamnom Saparmeina as a changemaker of Sadar Hills education.
