Manipur’s COVID-19 positive tally reaches 1,925

As many as 85 more patients were discharged after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test.

Altogether, 14 more persons were confirmed COVID-19 positive since Sunday, taking the state’s total positive tally to 1,925, official sources said on Monday.

A release issued by COVID-19 Common Control Room stated that the new cases included 12 from Thoubal and one each from Imphal West and Kamjong.

“Ten persons, including a technician working at RIMS belonging to Thoubal district do not have travel history and the rest are returnees from other states,” it said.

Meanwhile, as many as 85 more patients were discharged since Sunday after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test.

The numbers of active and recovered cases are 605 and 1,320 respectively and the recovery rate has improved to 68.57 per cent, it stated. It also said that the recovery rates in the districts of Noney, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal have reached 100 per cent.
