Manipur's COVID-19 recovered cases crosses 1,000 with 61 per cent recovery rate

Manipur reported 46 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total tally to 1,672 out of which, 652 are active and 1,020 are recovered cases.

Manipur's COVID-19 recovery rate improved to 61 per cent on Tuesday with the discharge of as many as 50 patients in the last 24 hours since Monday, official sources said.
 
Altogether, 46 returnees were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases while 50 others were discharged after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test in the last 24 hours, said a release from the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
 
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,672 out of which 652 are active and 1,020 are recovered cases, it said.
 
The new cases are all returnees from other states and include 11 from Tamenglong, 10 from Ukhrul, six from Imphal West, five from Kangpokpi, four each from Imphal East and Jiribam and three each from Churachandpur and Thoubal. They are being shifted to Covid Care Facilities and all necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
 
The release also appealed to the people to visit the website www.manipurcovidstories.org that focuses on positive and inspiring Covid-related stories by the volunteers.
