The All Manipur Nupi Marup has requested authorities concerned to test COVID-19 negative people again before giving discharge certificate from COVID care centres, JNIMS, RIMS and various quarantine centres.

As COVID-19 negative inmates are discharged for home quarantine, some might test positive on being tested again, said a release.
This would result in the area becoming a containment zone and will create difficulties and increase stress for the people in and around the locality, it said.

The mental health of the people needs to be taken into account as WHO has also agreed that mental health is deteriorating for the masses due to COVID-19 related issues, it added.
