The committee also denied the circulation in the media that it will be holding a meeting on July 19 at Khelakhong Khongjin High Madrassa and stated that the meeting should not be organised at any cost.

Speaking to the media at its office, Hatta, president of AMMOCOC SM Jalal said that the committee is aware about the identity of such individuals who try to defame AMMOCOC at different instances by using the name of the committee.

AMMOCOC has made many appeals to those individuals to avoid such action and even warned of initiating necessary actions against those individuals, he said. But they have not mended their ways and AMMOCOC is all set to give a befitting response and to teach a lesson to those individuals, he added.

Jalal also appealed to the Meitei Pangal society to inform AMMOCOC if they come across any person who is spreading the information about the July 19 meeting. The official Facebook page used by AMMOCOC has been hacked, he informed. As such, the committee is not responsible for any post uploaded in the page, he added.

Commenting on the delimitation issue, he further said that the outcome of delimitation based on estimated census reports will not be just and fair. As such, the exact census should be conducted again before conducting the delimitation. Otherwise, Meitei Pangal society will react against the delimitation along with other stakeholders, he added.
