Following the issuance of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for passengers returning by airlines by the state home department to allow home quarantine for all asymptomatic passengers, the Kuki Student’s organization (KSO) Sadar Hills on Sunday stated that no passenger coming by flight would be allowed entry into Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district without any exemption.

According to a statement issued by KSO Sadar Hills General Secretary Lalgoulen Haokip, the organisation steadfastly stand against the office memorandum issued by the home department.

“Unless the state government rectifies its order to send all flight passengers to Institutional quarantine, no passengers coming by flight shall be allowed entry into Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district without any exemption,” it stated.

The KSO asked why asymptomatic passengers of trains were mandatorily sent for institutional quarantine whereas those by flight are being referred for home quarantine.
