Nagaland COVID-19 cases climb to 660 as three more test positive

The three new cases were reported from Phek district.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rose to 660 as three fresh positive cases were reported from Phek district on Thursday, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

The three new cases are among the 291 samples tested, the health minister said in a tweet.

"Out of 291 samples tested, 3 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. All cases are in Phek," Phom tweeted.

As per the update by the health minister, of the total 660 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 356 are active cases while 304 patients have recovered from COVID-19.

Nagaland is yet to register COVID-19 related death.

Among the active COVID-19 cases, Peren has the maximum number of COVID-19  patients with 108, followed by Mon with 73 and Kohima with 67. Dimapur has 64 active cases, Tuensang 29, Phek 11, Mokokchung three and Zunheboto has one active case.

On Wednesday, Nagaland reported 13 new COVID-19 cases.
