Meghalaya educational institutions told to provide online admission forms free of cost

After the selection process, the educational institutions also have to display the names of the selected students on their own websites.

With educational institutions starting admissions process, the Meghalaya government is now relying heavily on online option for disbursal of admission forms and the declaration of results.

As such, it has directed the educational institutions to provide the admission forms online and free of cost. After the selection process, the educational institutions also have to display the names of the selected students on their own websites.

This is to ensure that the ongoing admission process in the educational institutions does not result in the spread of Covid-19.

In an advisory issued on Wednesday, the Principal Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Education Department, D P Wahlang said that with regard to the submission of forms, these have to be limited to a maximum of 200 forms a day for which collection desks are to be operated in five different locations of the college and that the number of students should be limited to 40 per desk.
