Homage paid to Thangjam Khomei

Th Khomei, who was one the followers of the freedom fighter Hijam Irabot and took part in the secret information network titled ‘Piktru’ (the tiny one), passed away at the age of 93.

The Manipur Communist Party of India, Uripok Local Council on Friday paid homage by half masting party flag and observing red salute to deceased member Thangjam Khomei who was one of the followers of Hijam Irabot. He was 93.

A release by CPI stated Th Khomei, who was one the followers of the freedom fighter Hijam Irabot and took part in the secret information network titled ‘Piktru’ (the tiny one), passed away at his residence at Uripok Achom Leikai, Imphal West on Tuesday. Recalling his life achievements, it added that the local council mourned the loss of a punctual and hard working individual.

Speaking on the occasion, local secretary S Gopeswor Sharma said that Th Khomei was a true follower of the party throughout his life and his influential accomplishments will always be cherished.
