India's daily Covid-19 caseload drops to 7,579

The total Covid-19 active cases account for less than one per cent of the total cases, currently at 0.33 per cent; lowest since March 2020.

India continued to witness a declining trend in daily Covid-19 positive caseload with the report of 7,579 new cases in the last 24 hours; lowest in 543 days, official sources said on Tuesday.

According to the Union Health Ministry, India's Covid-19 active caseload stood at 1,13,584; lowest in 536 days. The total Covid-19 active cases account for less than one per cent of the total cases, currently at 0.33 per cent; lowest since March 2020.

The total covid-19 confirmed caseload climbed to 3,45,26,480, while the death toll mounted to 4,66,147 with the report of 236 more fatalities in a span of last 24 hours.

The country’s Covid-19 daily positivity rate (0.79%) remained less than two per cent for the last 50 days, while the weekly positivity rate (0.93%) stood below less than two per cent for the last 60 days.

The country also reported 12,202 recoveries in the last 24 hours that pushed the total recoveries to 3,39,46,749. The Recovery Rate currently now stands at 98.32 per cent, highest since March 2020.

In all, a total of 63.34 crore total tests have been conducted so far, while 117.63 crore vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
