Aspiring players of Santosh Trophy get uniforms, training kits

The qualifying round for the North East Region for the national football championship will be held from November 25 to December 5 at Manipur and Meghalaya.


United Ex-SAI Players of Manipur distributed uniforms and training kits for Manipur footballers, who are in the fourth phase of the coaching programme for national football championship of Santosh Trophy 2021, at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal East.

The qualifying round for the North East Region for the national football championship will be held from November 25 to December 5 at Manipur and Meghalaya.

The handing over of training kits and uniforms for 30 odds players and the team officials in the fourth phase was attended by international players, Manorama Goswami, Inakhunbi Devi, G Jogita Devi (Hockey player), H Rameshowri Devi (Cyclist), G Geetarani Devi, A Dilip (Footballer), S Lokeshore and P Romesh.

AMFA president, M Ratankumar along with his deputy also attended the programme.

“Though we have been participating in the championship, we are unable to click at the far end. But let’s hope this disappointment does not happen this time. Remember that the football lovers of the state are behind you in every game you play, so let’s make it happen this time. We will always support and stand behind you all,” said United Ex-SAI Players of Manipur footballer, P Romesh.

Romesh said that he has full confidence in the young and energetic players who are currently in the fourth phase of the camp. The players will do well in the forthcoming championship under the leadership of coach and manager of the team.
