India's COVID-19 active caseload stands at 1,61,555

India's COVID-19 active cases account for less than one per cent of the total cases, currently at 0.47 per cent; lowest since March 2020.

India on Saturday reported 14,313 new COVID-19 cases in a span of 24 hours, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.

The total number of COVID-19 active cases in the country stood at 1,61,555. The active cases account for less than one per cent of the total cases, currently at 0.47 per cent; lowest since March 2020.

So far, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country climbed to 3,42,60,470, while the death toll mounted to 4,57,740 as 549 more people succumbed to the illness.

With 13,543 more recoveries that pushed the total recoveries to 3,36,41,175, the recovery rate currently is 98.19 per cent. The Weekly Positivity Rate (1.18%) remained less than two per cent for last 36 days, while the saily positivity rate (1.22%) stood below two per cent for last 26 days.

In all, 60,70,62,619 sample tests for COVID-19 have been conducted and 1,05,43,13,977 vaccine doses administered across the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
