Manipur's daily COVID-19 tally dropped to 41 while the death toll mounted to 1,913 with two more fatalities, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 3.2 per cent.
With the addition of the 41 new COVID-19 positive cases, the state's COVID-19 confirmed caseload reached to 1,23,333, including 886 COVID-19 active cases.
The two COVID-19 fatalities recorded on Monday are one each from Imphal West and Imphal East, respectively. One had comorbidities, one of them was vaccinated with the first dose and one with the second dose, according to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room.
As per the release, Imphal West and Imphal East continued to report the highest number of new COVID-19 cases with 21 and 12 positive cases respectively. Two cases each were reported from Thoubal and Ukhrul and one each from Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Kakching and Kamjong.
All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
The state also recorded 84 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,20,534. The recovery rate is 97.73 per cent, the release added.
Meanwhile, a total of 594 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 154 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered vaccine had reached 18,89,761 (first dose: 12,41,752 second dose: 6,48,009).
