Manipur's daily positivity rate remained below 5 per cent at 4.6 per centon, as it recorded 81 new COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday. The new cases pushed the state's COVID-19 confirmed tally to 1,23,051, while the death toll mounted to 1,905 with one new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The single COVID-19 fatality recorded on Thursday was from Imphal East. The deceased had co-morbidities and was not vaccinated, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room on Thursday evening.

As per the release, Imphal West and Imphal East continued to report the highest number of new COVID-19 cases with 42 and 14 positive cases respectively. Eleven cases were reported from Ukhrul, four from Kakching, three from Thoubal, two from Bishnupur and one each from Chandel, Churachandpur, Kamjong, Senapati and Tengnoupal.
All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.

The state also recorded 94 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,19,800. The recovery rate is 97.36 per cent, the release added.
Manipur now has 1,346 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.
Meanwhile, a total of 861 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 151 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered vaccine had reached 18,54,716 (first dose: 12,38,675 second dose: 6,16,041).
