AI fencer Khusboorani Devi claimed gold in the Girl Foil event of the 17th Governor's Cup State Level Fencing Championship 2021 held at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
Khusboorani faced stiff challenges from KHFA fencer N Mona Devi but ultimately, the former pierced her way to a gold medal with 15-14 points while Mona had to contend with a silver medal. SAI fencer Dayarani and W Sonia fetched the bronze medals.
As for the Men Epee event, Th Satish of KHFA beat Kh Amar of SWC by 12-11 points for the gold and silver while N Sadhiraj and H Lemba, both of MPSC, took the bronze medals. In the Men Foil event, N Tuphan of KHFA claimed the gold medal beating W Roshan of YDO by 15-10 points while Th Rajiv and U Premjit of MPSC, got the bronze medals.
The Junior Boys Sabre event saw Y Givson of YDO grabbed the gold medal beating A Thoinao of SAI by 15-12 points while Max Th of SAI and Ch Dinkash of KHFA took the bronze medals. In the Junior Girls Sabre, KHFA fencer L Abi outplayed compatriot Ambika with 15-6 points for the gold and silver while N Jesy of SWC and Muruga of SAI collected the bronze medals.
