Manipur's daily COVID-19 cases drop to 67
No COVID-19 death was reported in Manipur on Monday.
Manipur continued to witness a downtrend in COVID-19 as the daily positive cases dropped to 67 and no fatality was reported on Monday, according to the latest update by the state health department.
A total of 1,458 test results were received on Monday, of which 67 samples were found positive for COVID-19. The day's positivity rate is 4.6 per cent.
While the death toll stood at 1,897, the COVID-19 caseload in Manipur reached 1,22,804, as per the update.
Among the new COVID-19 positive cases reported on Monday, 31 cases were from Imphal West, 15 from Imphal East, eight from Ukhrul, four each from Bishnupur and Thoubal, two from Senapati, and one each from Churachandpur, Jiribam and Kakching, a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room stated.
All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
The state recorded 106 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,19,524. The recovery rate is 97.33 per cent, and the number of active cases dropped to 1,383 the release added.
Meanwhile, a total of 882 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 149 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered vaccine reached 18,29,010 (first dose: 12,36,382, second dose: 5,92,628).
