Moreh fire victims provided relief goods

All the fire victims were provided relief materials and financial aid of Rs 17,625 each.

The Hill Tribal Council (HTC) Moreh distributed relief materials to all the victims of the fire incident that occurred at around 12:40 am on September 30 near Galngam Lentol, Gamnom Veng, Moreh ward no.2.

In the fire incident, houses belonging to Chinlangmung Taithul, Ngamkhosei Haokip, Gabby Seithang Lhanghal and Esther Ngaihte, and Netaji Memorial English High School and office building of Zou Presbyterian Church were burned to ashes.

Earlier, HTC Moreh had requested all its units to donate whatever they can to help the fire victims. Besides rice, utensils, cloths and other relief materials, the total cash contributed by all the HTC units was Rs 1,05,750.

The relief materials and financial aid of Rs 17,625 each were given to all the six fire victims, the HTC said.
