India on Sunday recorded 18,166 new COVID-19 positive cases, the lowest single-day rise in 214 days, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.

India has 2,30,971 active COVID-19 cases, lowest in 208 days while the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 caseload reached 3,39,53,457 on Sunday.
The Union Health Ministry stated that as many as 58.25 crore tests have been conducted in the country so far.
The daily COVID-19 positivity rate remained below three per cent for the last 41 days, it stated.
As many as 4,50,589 people have died due to COVID-19 in India. In the last 24 hours, 214 deaths were reported from across the country.
India also recorded 23,624 recoveries in the last 24 hours, pushing the total recoveries to 3,32,71,915 and the recovery rate stood at 97.99 per cent, the highest since March, 2020.
Meanwhile, a total of 94.70 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
