Appreciation certificates given to frontline healthcare workers

178 other frontline workers who died of COVID-19 were honoured.

A recognition and appreciation programme of frontline healthcare workers was held at Synod hall, IB road, Churachandpur district Under the aegis of the Health department on Wednesday.

The programme was attended by TA and Hills Minister Vungzagin Valte as chief guest. It was also attended by additional DC and CMO Dr VC Pau Tonsing. During the programme, Dr Robinson and 178 other frontline workers who died of COVID-19 were honoured.

The chief guest on the occasion saluted the COVID warriors saying that the efforts of doctors, nurses and ASHA workers are laudable which led us thus far. He also said that the effort rendered by different organisations in the fight against COVID-19 is immense.

During the distribution of appreciation certificates, Dr Sania Monica, in-charge of Sampling Team got ‘Iron Lady of the District’ award with memento.

Others who received the appreciation certificates were district malaria officer, district family welfare officer, district AIDS control officer, district leprosy officer, district TB officer, district warehouse in-charge, medical officers, Ayush medical officer, district programme manager, district data manager, district finance manager, district community mobiliser, district quality consultant, block data manager, block programme and finance manager, ANM GNM, MPW, support staff, technician, community health officer, principal of GNM Training School, ANM, MHS, MHW, pharmacist, ASHA facilitator, driver, grade IV ASHA and  Highland Impact Foundation and 523 members from  We Care.
