Bodybuilder Chingangbam Karishma Chanu claimed the silver medal in the Women's Open Bodybuilding category of 12th WBPF World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2021 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from October 3 to October 8.

According to a release by AMBBA general secretary, Y Sunanta, another bodybuilder of All Manipur Bodybuilders Association Joydev Thongam settled for the fourth position in the Junior Men's Open Building category of the championship. Yubraj Sonar and Yumnam Manisana from the state also participated in the meet while N Kishan accompanied the participants as an official member.
