As a mark of condemnation against brutal killing of Athuan Abonmai, the United Front Manipur (UFM) launched wall-poster focusing in fighting terrorism in the state at Manipur Press Club on Saturday.

Addressing the media persons, UFM chairman Sapam Samungou said that UFM strongly condemned the inhuman murder of Athuan Abonmai and they will extend maximum support in any movement launched by JAC against brutal killing of Athuan Abonmai until justice is delivered.

Samungou said that Manipur is such a tiny state with just 22,327 square km area with a population of nearly 32 lakh. However, any government who comes in power is always unable to maintain law and order in the state effectively. The instability and unrest in the state proves that all the 60 MLAs are incompetent.

He further said that many people were killed but justice was never delivered. Until such activities are not stopped in time, the state would lead to various forms of crisis. As such, it is high time to end the activities of terrorism in the state and it requires good governance.

Sadly, the governance of the present government is not satisfactory, he added.

To fight against terrorism, unity amongst the people of the state is much needed, said Samungou adding that the campaign will spread the message of unifying every community.
