District level ‘Clean India Programme’ launched

'Clean India Programme' aims to clean waste mainly ‘single-use plastic wastes’ and it will be held in the district during the entire month of October.

A district level launching of ‘Clean India Programme’ was held on Friday at Thoubal Municipal Council office premises in collaboration with TMC, NYK Thoubal, NSS Thoubal, Urban Local Bodies and Gram Panchayats of the district.

The programme was attended by Thoubal SP Yogeshchandra Hawbijam and Thoubal ADM B Lokeshore as presidium members.

As part of the programme, a ‘plogging’ rally was carried out from Thoubal Municipal Council office to Thoubal Keithel, flagged off by the SP. 

'Clean India Programme' aims to clean waste mainly ‘single-use plastic wastes’ and it will be held in the district during the entire month of October. The programme will be conducted at various places in the district by various departments, SHGs, NGOs, YCs with head of the offices.

The programme was also attended by DLOs and concerned members of the District Monitoring Committee of Thoubal.
