IMPHAL, July 28: The Director General Assam Rifles Lieutenant General KS Yadava, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, along with Meenakshi Yadava, President of the ARWWA, accompanied by Major General CA Krishnan, IGAR(South) visited HQ 10 Sector at Ukhrul today.

The Director General inaugurated the Tangkhul Naga Long office building built by the Assam Rifles, where he was accorded a rousing reception by the people of Ukhrul who turned out in very large numbers to receive him.

He dedicated the building to the people of Ukhrul and reiterated his resolve to further the friendship between Assam Rifles and the people of Manipur. Later, he interacted with local prominent personalities and civil dignitaries.

Earlier, a modern and technologically advanced hospital at Somsai was Inaugurated by the DGAR and President of the ARWWA. As a round-up to the visit, the General Officer also met children from various orphanages from remote village and boosted their morale by interacting with them and giving them gifts.
