MANFETE season begins at MU

Manipur University’s annual event MANFETE 2017 was opened today at the university’s centenary hall by the vice chancellor in charge, Prof N Dhaneshwor.

The three-day event with the theme “Education 3600” is being organised by Manipur Institute of Management Studies (MIMS) students.

Speaking about the event Jibon K S Leihaothabam, Prof at MIMS, MU said the event aims to focus and sharpen the hidden talent of both the participants and the organisers in a fun way.

The MIMS was established in 1995 and in the following year, the first batch students planed to organise such an event to apply their theoretical knowledge into practical. At the same time the event also aims to gave benefits to both participant and the organiser in a positive way and mould their career.

He added, the teachers only gave a broad direction to the students and from planning to coordination it is all done by the students themselves. Anyone can participate in any events but the programmes are mainly youth oriented, he said.

The first day of the event featured interaction on Business Idea, ex-tempore, dance and music programmes.

A cycle rally also took place as a part of the opening day events with the theme “clean environment” from Palace Compound till Manipur University campus.
