Jiribam DLOs meeting discusses district upliftment

JIRIBAM | Apr 20 (JNN)

A meeting for all departmental head was held today at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner office, Jiribam district to discuss about the shortage of various departments.

The meeting of all district level officers (DLOs) of Jiribam district was chaired by local MLA of Jiribam as well as Parliamentary Secretary of N Biren Singh led government, Ashab Uddin, Jiribam DC Harmit Singh Pahuja, SDC Borobekra sub-division, Ng Jogendra Khumancha and Jiribam police DSP K Ajit Kumar Sharma.

In the first meeting of local MLA of Jiribam and departmental head, the present departmental head gave their self introduction and placed various shortage and problems faced in their respective department. Among the shortage they have mentioned about the shortage of staffs, insufficient infrastructure and machineries in various department.

During the self introduction of departmental head, it was found some of the departmental head were substituted by their sub ordinate officers in absence of departmental head in the meeting. And such substitution of departmental head by its sub-ordinate officers is not any surprising, as it’s the common issue of Jiribam since long time.

Addressing the departmental head meeting the local MLA of Jiribam said he will put up all these shortage and problems of Jiribam district to the Chief Minister of Manipur and also urged to all officials of Jiribam district to be punctual in their duties.

Ashab assured to the present official that he will highlight the problems of Jiribam to the concern departmental minister. He also acquainted that Jiribam remained deprived from development since long time.

He then said “Let us try to uplift Jiribam as compare with other district of Manipur with our devoted service”.

After the meeting, the MLA of Jiribam inspected the office of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Public Works Department (PWD), Zonal Education Office (ZEO); Agriculture Department and IFCD.
