Fake MSF arrested at exam centre
IMPHAL | Mar 20
An individual identified as Md Farish Khan (21) son of Md Seraj Ahamed of Moijing Kangjeeibung, Thoubal disguised himself as a member of Manipur Student Federation (MSF) and interrupted a student during the council exam today at Human Resource Development (HRD) Academy, Ghari, Imphal.
Farish came to HRD academy during the middle of the exam at around 11.30am showing his fake ID card of MSF saying that he came for surveying the exam.
He went to an exam hall and has signed in an answer sheet of a female student saying that she was making a suspicious movement.
At that moment, the school authority enquired about him and he was found to a fake member of MSF.
Later council secretary came to the school and struck off Farish signature from the answer sheet of the student.
During that moment, the examination process in that specific room was wasted for around 30 minutes since the students in that room was disturbed by his action but there was no notification of giving extra time from the school side.
Meanwhile MSF general secretary Wanglemba Khaba came to the school and has confirmed that Farish was not a member of MSF.
Later Farish was handed over to the Lamphel police.
The invigilator of the room, Kh Chaoba speaking to media persons said that without taking any permission he came inside the exam hall wearing a helmet as well as chewing a pan.
“I told him to go out, stating that it is not his duty, but he insists and later he just went to the girl and signed in her paper,” said Chaoba.
He added that “the girl started crying and when I along with other staff enquire about him, he was found to be a fake MSF member.”
Meanwhile, the MSF has condemned Farish Khan’s behavior and warned against using MSF’s name by any person.
Addressing a press meet held today at MSF head office at Keshamthong, MSF president Khundrakpham Max said, Md Farish Khan is not related with MSF, he uses fake ID card of MSF to enter the exam center.
He said that the exam centre authority should not allow anyone to enter for exam observation unless the person holds the ID card issued by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur.
If anyone wants to join or be a part of MSF in serving the state, they are welcome but they should not use the name of the organisation without joining the organisation, he added.
He further added that if anyone uses the organisation’s name in such unwanted activities in future, they have to face the consequence of the action taken up by MSF.
