Adim Pamei and Mathuipao file nominations

IMPHAL | Feb 16

On the last day of filing of nomination papers for Tamenlong district, Adim Pamei of BJP and Mathuipong Gonmei of LJP of Nungba assembly constituency filed their nomination papers at the Tamenglong district headquarters in the office chamber of the returning officer.

A release said earlier Deputy Chief Minister, Gaikhangam, of Nungba assembly constituency, former MLA, Z Kikhonbou Newmai, former MLA, Awongbou Newmai and G N Kumuiteung alias Dr Aku of Tamei constituentcy and former MLA Samuel Jendai, former MLA Janghemlung Panmeib and former MLA Jangamlung Panmei from Tamenlong constituency also filed their nomination.

The scrutiny of nomination of the candidates of Tamenglong district will be held on the 17th of this month followed by withdrawal of this candidature on 20 of the same month, it added.

The second round of training for the presiding officer and polling officer for the Tamenglong district will be conducted on February 18 and 19 at the Indoor Stadium, Tamenglong headquarters from 11 am onwards daily, it informed.
