Manipur University observes freshers’ meet

IMPHAL | Feb 16

VC of Manipur University Prof Adya Prasad Pandey said, the image of an educational institution can be measured by the position of the students. Every student while fulfilling their parents’ dream should also contribute for the growth of the society, state and nation as a whole.

The vice chancellor was speaking during the freshers’ meet programme for the session 2016-17, which was held today at the Centenary Hall of the university today.

Buchi Mayanglambam, the newly elected president of MUSU stressed in his speech that students should not forget their rights and duties and before demanding rights one should ask himself or herself how much duties one has performed for betterment of the society and the nation, it added.

The release continued the function was also attended by Prof M Dhaneswor Singh, Prof R K Hemkumar (Principal MIT, Manipur) Prof Naorem Mohilal Singh, dean student welfare and Maibam Chourjit Singh, Cultural Coordinator, as guests of honour.

They all congratulated the freshers for enrolling in the Manipur University and categorically suggested to each and every student to work hard for a bright feature, it said, adding the function ended with cultural programme, individual and group dance.
