Lilong Haoreibi College’s Students Union (LHCSU), All Manipur Muslim Student’s Organisation and Muslim Student’s Union Manipur asked the state government to conduct a departmental enquiry against Lilong Haoreibi College’s former principal in-charge Md Nurul Amin.

Addressing a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal LHCSU general secretary Mm Awesh Karmi said that when Md Nurul was the principal in-charge of the college, he has not done any single development works of the college.

Moreover, all the college fund and the admission fees of 1841 students were not kept in the school account, instead all the money went to his pocket, he added.

Awesh said that earlier Nurul was involved in a scandal case of Rs 40 lakhs where he only returned Rs 18 lakhs.

Suspending of Nurul from the school by the state government is very appreciated, said Awesh.

He continued that the state government should take up departmental enquiry against him, but if the government failed to perform such action different forms of agitation will be taken place.
